Capital Cranfield Trustees wins award for second year running

Capital Cranfield Trustees has won the UK Pensions Awards Independent Trustee of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Speaking after receiving the award, Capital Cranfield’s chairman, Mike Anthony said the judges’ decision recognises the standards of professional services offered by Capital Cranfield in England and Wales and by Scottish Pension Trustees in Scotland.

The company is wholly owned by its Directors, all of whom are actively involved with clients. It has offices in London, Nottingham and Edinburgh and supports over 200 active pension fund clients, managed by its 31 Client Directors.

The workforce of 20 in Nottingham is responsible for more than 100 pension funds in the course of wind-up or PPF assessment.

Client numbers are increasing at the company but it is careful to ensure that its objectives are fulfilled responsibly and effectively.

For example, last year saw notable achievements with regard to VAT savings and online auctions of the liabilities of schemes in wind-up, both of which have delivered substantial benefits for scheme members.

The group maintains its total independence by ensuring that none of its group companies offers services other than trusteeship.
