Indigo hotels brand comes to the UK

The world’s largest hotelier, InterContinental Hotels Group, is bringing its Indigo boutique hotel brand to Britain with the first hotel opening in Paddington, West London in July.
The group aims to open 2 or 3 Indigo-branded outlets in European cities and one in Asia by the end of 2008.
The group has signed a deal with London Town Hotels as the franchisee to open a 68-room hotel near to Paddington railway station in London, with rooms at around £120 a night.
Furthermore, InterContinental is bringing another US brand to Britain with its extended-stay Staybridge Suites, with the first set to open in Liverpool in the summer. The group already operates 120 of these hotels in North America.
The hotelier also runs 10 Indigo hotels in North America which the company says are aimed at ‘style-savvy guests‘ who want affordable luxury and good service.
Group Chief Executive, Andrew Cosslett, said the boutique hotel offers a different experience, and there are an increasing number of customers who like these design-led hotels.
InterContinental also operates Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites. It has 585,094 hotel rooms in nearly 4,000 hotels in 100 countries.
