Yen lower in New York trade

The Japanese yen declined on Monday.
At midday in New York, the yen was down 0.4 percent against the US dollar and the euro, to ¥114.80 and ¥154.73 respectively, while it had dropped 0.5 percent to ¥227.60 versus sterling.
Additionally, both the New Zealand and Australian dollars took back ground versus the yen, with the Australian dollar 0.5 percent higher to ¥91.70 versus the yen and the New Zealand dollar gaining 0.2 percent to ¥79.80.
Sterling added 0.2 percent to £0.6785 in relation to the euro, while the US dollar traded even against the shared currency at $1.2475 and dropped 0.2 percent to $1.9850 in relation to sterling.
